Collett Construction was doing great work in Tacoma, but the name didn’t say what they stood for. We rebranded them as Shield, built around one promise: safeguarding your home, your biggest asset, with lifetime solutions.

Origins

Cameron grew up around the trade, with a family plumbing company in eastern Washington, and worked his way up through plumbing shops to become one of the strongest salespeople in the industry. Then he got tired of building other people's businesses. In 2022 he moved to Tacoma, sold nearly everything he owned, and started Collett Construction while his wife was home pregnant. Today it's Shield Plumbing & Remodel.
Axis

Lifetime solutions in a trade built on spot repairs. Most plumbers fix the leak and leave. Shield checks the whole home, recommends what will serve the homeowner for the long haul, and never sells what doesn't need selling.
Beliefs & Behaviors

Protect the customer's investment. People aren't buying plumbing, they're buying the experience. So the job is to solve the problem for good, not upsell the visit.

Every lead gets a call back in under two minutes. Every visit includes a full 360-degree check of the home. Options come as good, better, and best, and the homeowner makes the call. The Five Star Guarantee means the team doesn't leave until the customer is happy. Customers hear from Shield twice a week, even when there's no news, and the team goes to bat with insurance companies for them.

A shield where the old construction mark used to be, because it mattered to Cameron to show what the company actually does: protect homeowners. Blues and greys. Crews in dark grey slacks, branded button-ups, black hoodies, and caps. And two phrases at the heart of every pitch: Lifetime Solutions and the Five Star Guarantee.

Built for homeowners who want the problem solved properly, and for good. Not the right fit for dedicated DIYers who'd rather fix it themselves.
Future

Sharpen the brand and the marketing to grow with intention, build a management team so the business runs without Cameron in every truck, and bring the Shield system to more of eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Project Breakdown

We rebranded them as Shield, built around one promise: safeguarding your home, your biggest asset, with lifetime solutions. Their website brings that promise to life with real photos of their crew and trucks, customer reviews, current offers, and the Shield Total Protection Plan that homeowners can sign up for right on the site. Service area pages covering 15 surrounding cities, a blog, and a newsletter power their online strategy, while uniforms and wrapped trucks carry the brand into every neighborhood they serve.
